On Wednesday, September 07, 2016 at Norton Audubon Hospital (in Louisville, Kentucky) my fiancé Jordan & I, were Married at my Fathers bedside.

After several years of health complications (due to diabetes and cancer-related issues) his health had quickly started to decline & his quality of life, was deteriorating. So, after being delivered a painfully bleak prognosis.. I knew, what I had to do.

Exactly 10 days later, on September 17, 2016..

Surrounded by family, and his closest friend –

He passed away.

My fiancé and I, were all set to be married on the 29th. However, we knew, the likelihood of my Dad living to see it - was likely for not.. and after a brief discussion, we decided that we both wanted to say our vows - a little earlier than expected.

So, after talking with hospital staff and about a half-day of preparations — The Ceremony was performed by the Hospital Chaplain. Witnessed by my Mom, our daughter Isabella and several of the nursing staff.

But, most importantly, my Dad.
